Kigali’s first all electric bus route goes live powered by BasiGo buses

The City of Kigali has launched a one-month pilot programme for express commuter buses on the Kabuga–Nyabugogo route, aiming to ease congestion and reduce long waiting times at stations.

The initiative is part of Kigali’s broader push to make public transport more efficient and accessible and is being implemented by the City of Kigali in collaboration with the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA), EcoFleet, and BasiGo
